Proactive




Proactive is defined as more than merely taking initiatives to accomplish something. A successful entrepreneur always have initiative to fulfill his job. He will be proactive to seek the opportunity for his business. He will take action when he identify an opportunity.

Robert Kuok Hock Nien is one of the best examples of proactive entrepreneur. He is proactive to learn about the sugar industry and business knowledge. He went to United Kingdom to do market research about the sugar industry. In London, he studied and learnt about sugar industry and the sugar trade situation until he has mastered it. After he backed to Malaysia, he focused on his career and founded Malaysia first sugar refinery.
 Afterward, Kuok controlled 80% of Malaysia’s sugar industry with 1.5 million ton worth of sugar production. Kuok also opening his first hotel Shangri-La  and open a lot of branch across the world. He invest in news corporations across East Asia and founded freight companies.
Kuok proactive trait made himself became an successful entrepreneur and The king of sugar in Asia. According to Forbes, Kuok became the richest man in Malaysia
