Open culture







Culture is very important for business. An open culture is a concept according to which knowledge should be spread freely and enriching already existing works on the basis of sharing and collaboration. A company who have open culture have an open environment for the employee. The procedure and policy in the company is transparent and clear. Employee also have the change to communicate which each other included the subordinate and the supervisor. The upper management also have open minded and willing to accept the feedback of the employee.
One of the successful entrepreneur trait is open culture. Mark Zuckerberg is the founder of Facebook who have open culture trait. According to “The Boy Billionaire: Mark Zuckerberg In His Own Words”, 2012 edited by Beahm, Facebook company is a very open culture company. Mark Zuckerberg has an open communication with his employees by doing Q&A section. Employees are allowed to jot down any ideas.  Mark Zuckerberg will notice and response their ideas. Mark Zuckerberg care about employee welfare. He gave free food, free dry cleaning, as well as a lot of other welfare to his employee.  Mark Zuckerberg encouraged his workers to form teams around projects they are passionate about. He also give his employees opportunities to career growth based on smart and competence. Mark also recognized his worker contribution.
Mark Zuckerberg open culture trait made Facebook became a company which have open environment for his employee to work.
